Wimple, veil and pins, ladies Medieval headdress set in linen

This is a reproduction wimple and veil combination set made from white linen. These are an iconic item of clothing forMedieval women and were commonly worn by all married women in the 13th and 14th centuries. They were still worn in the 15th Century by older women and widows. They were also worn by nuns across the centuries.

The set is made of four pieces – a linen band or fillet, a wimple (the part that covers a throat), a veil and two hand made brass wimple pins. All sewn pieces are machine stitched. Instructions for how to wear the items will be supplied, it’s simple when you know how!
