History
I created the Gravity Gun model back in 2018 for the first Maker Fair in Prague for my photo booth. I decided to model the Gravity Gun from Half-Life 2 because it’s not a typical weapon from a computer game, but rather an anti-gravity device on which I could first try working with Arduino, servo motors, LED strips, etc. The Gravity Gun would light up, move its arms, and make sounds (I eventually decided not to activate the sparking).
I never published the model and was waiting for the right opportunity. Now I have decided to release the plastic parts for printing. I have modified some parts, so the holes for switches and connectors are sealed, the servo motors are replaced with plastic parts, and some of the original parts are completely missing. I did this because the electronics are not in a state where I could publish them. I will likely publish the used components and circuit diagrams with the case.
Printing instructions
Printing all the parts is easy, and except for one part (Side Grip Case Gauge), they can be printed without supports. I printed them using grey and blue transparent PLA, but I believe they can also be printed using PETG.
All the parts were printed on the Original Prusa MK2, so they will definitely be printable on the MK3 or MK4 as well.
If you want to make the Gravity Gun before transformation, print all the transparent parts (Body Inner Shell, Body Outer Shell, Case Rear Light Cover, Case Middle Light Cover, Arm Dummy Light) with orange material, otherwise print it with light blue material.
STL files are oriented for printing, but the STEP files are in the original orientation.
Assembly instructions
Assembly is not complicated, but it does involve many parts. Follow instructions from attached file.
