I made this eye piece from brass and a tiny bit of aluminium (the painted lens holder), to keep the weight down a bit. Straps are also made of dyed leather (vege-tan).
The lenses are made from glass, you can’t go more authentic than that. They are held in place securely by brass holders on the sides.
Brass base is filled with soldered in watch parts and watch gears, the other lens holder can be moved and fixed with the knurled brass piece on the front.
Both lenses line up perfectly, although you can’t really look through! 🙂
The strap ends are open, I will talk to the buyer and make it fit his head, either with elastic band or leather.
